Inspiration
The Tunisian Crochet and Knit Owens Sisters Pillows are in honor of another one of my favorite movies, Practical Magic. However, if you’re not a fan, pick one of your other favorite witches and get flying!
These patterns include full colored photo tutorials, a chart, and a written format so you will never be stuck not knowing what to do.
Supplies needed for both patterns
- For the Tunisian Crochet version: You’ll need a 5.5mm Tunisian Crochet hook with a cable. I got my little Tunisian set from Denise at Love2Crochet and I LOVE it!
- For the Knit Version: You’ll need a US 9/5.5mm 24″ circular knitting needle. I also got my interchangeable set from Denise and I use it all the time.
- Yarn: Worsted Weight yarn my friends over at Lion Brand Yarn provided me with some gorgeous Heartland yarn. You’ll need to grab yourself 1 skein of a background color, 1 skein of black, and 2 different colors (1 skein of each) for the leggings (which you can also use for your back panel).
- You will need a 16" x 16" pillow form
I don't know how to Tunisian Crochet - can I do the crochet version in regular Single Crochet? You can. Your images will not be quite as clear and you will need to follow the chart from right to left and left to right. Tunisian Crochet never flips your work, while single crochet would need you to do that. Your back panel might need to be crocheted longer than the recommended amount of rows.
