Inspiration

In 2023, WeCrochet reached out and asked me if I would like to collaborate and design five quilt-inspired crochet blankets for 2024. I excitedly jumped at the opportunity! The Cardinal Blanket is a special symbol of love, devotion, positive omens, and for some, a wave of “Hello” from a loved one who has passed. Native American lore sees them as a bringer of rain, sun, and good fortune. Whatever the Cardinal means to you, may you find joy in creating this blanket.

Supplies Needed

  • Crochet Hook: I-9 (5.5 mm)I love using Furls Hooks. They are so comfortable and I don’t get stressed hands or wrists like I once did. Use the code HOOK15 for 15% off.
  • Yarn: Worsted Weight. Wool of the Andes Tweed.
