Inspiration
In 2023, WeCrochet reached out and asked me if I would like to collaborate and design five quilt-inspired crochet blankets for 2024. I excitedly jumped at the opportunity!
The Supernova Blanket was inspired by the following quote from C. JoyBell C:
“I think that we are like stars. Something happens to burst us open, but when we burst open and think we are dying, we’re actually turning into a supernova. And then when we look at ourselves again, we see that we’re suddenly more beautiful than we ever were before!”
Supplies Needed
- Crochet Hook: H-8 (5 mm)
- Yarn: Worsted Weight. Swish Worsted.

Assembly: Once all 9 blocks are complete, they are seamed together into one large blanket.
